Artists Call for Submissions

Jamestown Settlement is seeking adult Virginia artists, working in any medium, to submit their art for consideration in the 2025 Black Artist Showcase, February 1 to March 2 in celebration of Black History Month.

Formerly a three-day exhibit in conjunction with “After Angelo,” an annual program celebrating African American performance, art, culture and community, the showcase has expanded thanks to the positive support of the African American art community and will be exhibited throughout the month of February.

Selected artwork will be displayed in the Jamestown Settlement Great Hall passageways leading to the museum galleries.

Building on the success of last year's event, the 2025 Black Artist Showcase will highlight the significance of Black History Month, though other works of art may be considered.

Interested adult visual artists in Virginia must carefully follow all submission instructions and deadlines.
