Talking History Lecture: Andrew Buckley

Andrew BuckleyJoin two-time Emmy nominated filmmaker Andrew Buckley as he shares his story of discovery retracing the American journeys of his ancestor Stephen Hopkins. In 1609, Hopkins was bound for Virginia aboard the Sea Venture, which shipwrecked in Bermuda. He later lived at Jamestown until 1614, returned to England, and six years later, brought his family back to America aboard the Mayflower.

Hear this remarkable story unfold, and discover Hopkins's connection to William Shakespeare, as Buckley shares excerpts from his documentary film “Stephano,” which retraces Hopkins’ journeys to America.
