Whatever the age level or interest of your group, the combination of gallery exhibits and living history at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown is ideal. The museums are wonderfully suited for group visits, and you have the option to choose a guided or self-guided tour.

Your group will see hundreds of unique artifacts in the museums' exhibition galleries. Costumed interpreters in the outdoor living-history areas are on hand to answer questions and involve visitors in everyday activities of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Group admission rates

  • Group = 15 or more paid visitors using one form of payment. For groups of 14 or fewer guests, check out our private tours.
  • Combination Ticket* = one visit to each museum and may be used on different days.
  • Youth & Student Ages** = For groups, the youth/student age is kindergarten through college. Groups must consist of over 50% students to be considered as a student group. Groups must consist of a minimum of 15 students to qualify as a student group for guided tours. With general admission tickets, the youth age is 6-12, and children ages 5 and under are complimentary. Prices are per person, and reservations are required and subject to availability.
  • All admissions are valid for the full day and include exhibition galleries, living-history areas and an introductory film.

Group Visit Policies 

We look forward to welcoming your group to Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown! Please read the important information about making reservations, submitting a deposit, and payment and cancellation policies. You can also learn about providing chaperones, group conduct, planning your trip, ordering meals and helpful tips for the day of your visit.

 

Availability

Morning guided tours are fully reserved until December 19, 2024 and from February 19 to May 9, 2025. Please inquire about limited spots for afternoon tours beginning at 1 p.m. Self-guided tours may be booked for any date. 

Once we receive your reservation request, we will verify availability.

Reservations

Reservations are required for guided tours and programs in advance and are requested for self-guided groups. We recommend making reservations at least two months in advance for fall and winter trips, and up to four months in advance for trips in the spring.

If your visit is less than one week away, please submit the reservation form and email the Group Reservations Office to verify that the order has been received.

Deposits

A 10% deposit will be required 30 days prior to the group tour or program. Deposits may be paid by VISA, MasterCard, Discover or check. Deposits will be required at the time of reservation for tours/programs made less than 30 days prior to the tour date. Deposits for group tour "no-shows" cannot be refunded.

Confirmation

We will send a confirmation of your group reservation via email within 2-3 business days. If we are unable to accommodate your request, we will contact you via telephone and/or email to discuss alternatives for your group.

Can’t visit as an organized group?

Purchase no date/no time tickets in advance from our Sales Manager, order 25 or more to receive a reduced rate. The tickets can be used on an individual basis at a time that is most convenient for your guests. Contact us to request more information and order tickets.
