Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Welcomes New Deputy Executive Director and Special Assistant for Board Relations

WILLIAMSBURG, Va., July 5, 2017 – The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation recently welcomed Frank N. Stovall as deputy executive director of administration and Jarret W. Hann as special assistant for board relations.

As deputy executive director of administration, Frank N. Stovall will supervise and provide leadership for the Foundation’s finance, human resources and facilities management departments. Stovall, who served as the City Manager of Clinton, South Carolina, since 2011, also has served as Clinton, South Carolina, assistant city manager and Musgrove Mill State Historic Site park manager. He holds a master of public administration degree from Clemson University and undergraduate and graduate degrees from Virginia Tech. He succeeds Jeff Lunsford, who retired June 30 after 18 years with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation.

Jarret W. Hann - JYF Special Assistant for Board Relations

Jarret W. Hann has been hired as special assistant for board relations, succeeding Laura Bailey, who retired June 30 after 33 years with the Foundation. Hann will serve as special assistant and liaison to members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc., Board of Directors. Hann has spent the past five years at the National Center for State Courts, where as part of his duties, he served as a staff liaison to a commission of State Supreme Court Justices.  He practiced law in Canada prior to moving to Virginia in 2012. He holds a juris doctorate from the University of Calgary Law School in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and an undergraduate degree in business management and economics from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia that administers two living-history museums, Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. The museums are accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
