WILLIAMSBURG, Va., September 30, 2016 – Anedra Wiseman Bourne of Richmond was appointed by Virginia Governor Terence R. McAuliffe for a term through June 2020 to the Board of Trustees of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, a Virginia state agency that operates Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center (American Revolution Museum of Yorktown as of October 15) history museums and conducts outreach education programs in public schools across the state.
The governor reappointed Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation trustees H. Benson Dendy III of Richmond and Judy F. Wason of Williamsburg to the board, which is comprised of General Assembly members, state officials, and gubernatorial and board appointees, for terms through June 2020. Mr. Dendy is board chairman.
Mrs. Bourne is the City of Richmond’s first tourism coordinator, serving since 2011 as primary liaison with the city’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry. She was program manager for The Future of Richmond’s Past and previously held marketing and public relations positions at The American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar, Virginia Tourism Corporation and Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (Maryland) Conference & Visitors Bureau. Mrs. Bourne currently is a member of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and Northside Family YMCA boards. She graduated from Hampton University with a bachelor’s degree in English.
